Revenues from carbon credits sales will finance energy saving projects in residential, office and public buildings, under a strategy the Czech government approved Monday. According to Environment Ministry estimates, the state might raise CZK 10-25 billion through the sale of emission allowances that the ministry wants to launch at the end of February 2009. The Czech Republic pledged to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 2012 by 8% from 1990 levels.
